RIYADH: A Filipino worker, allegedly the victim of sexual abuse, has undergone an operation here to remove a blot clot from her brain.
She underwent the operation at a hospital after being transferred there by the Saudi Social Welfare Agency (SWA). Her sponsor had dropped her off at the agency last week.
A community leader following the case told Arab News that the Red Crescent had brought her to the hospital. The woman has been identified as a 25-year-old from Kabuntalan, Maguindanao, based on information obtained from her passport.
The woman was allegedly raped and then gagged with clay and silicon, according to Francis Dungca, the spokesman for Filipino Migrante Sectoral Party (MSP). He said this information was received from fellow workers at the SWA.
